Mama knows best. At least, this mama knows best.

My name is Carolyn Masinton, and I’m a blogging married mother of three. I’m one of many, and also completely unique. I’ve learned to embrace and conquer the chaos that defines modern family life. In fact, I’m conquering it in real time. Just now, I had to bribe my kids and snap at my husband so I could get this “About” Page written.

I’ve come to see myself as the Chief Operating Officer of my family of five, overseeing the many components of our little operation, and ensuring that all runs smoothly — or something like smoothly, anyway. It takes a lot of energy, creativity and a pretty big ego to keep everyone on track and living up to my expectations. But I’m up to the task, as I believe my family would be quick to concede.

Every day, I’m faced with challenges, some mundane and some quite dramatic. If I ever doubted my ability to KNOW BEST, I wouldn’t be able to handle them all. In fact, we ‘d be in pretty bad shape if I didn’t KNOW BEST. Luckily for my husband and kids, that’s not an issue.

But why should my family, deserving though they are, be the only people to benefit from from my ability to know what’s best? Well, they shouldn’t be — and it would be really selfish of them to think they should be, wouldn’t it?

There are people out there — you know who you are — struggling to make sense of their world. There are questions that need answering. So, in honor of the millions of people out there in need of mama’s best knowledge, I’ve decided to launch into cyberspace the arsenal of ideas, advice and opinions that I’m constantly forming in response to the day-to-day drama that is modern family life.

Read and learn. And if you have questions, ask mama. Because there are no stupid questions (well, there ARE maybe a couple, but I won’t call you out on it if you ask one of them).
